Sometimes I get calls from around the world from companies who stumble across Newface requesting a website. Advanced Sports Performance, a sports training facility in Johannesburg, South Africa, turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. Working with clients on the opposite end of the world can prove a challenge because while you’re working they’re sleeping and vice versa. This usually creates a communication problem, but once I figured out the time difference, it all worked out (in case you’re wondering it’s eight hours ahead from Saskatoon, Canada). They train athletes in hopes that some day they will bring home an Olympic medal. I’m thrilled to be involved in such a worthwhile pursuit.

[description]Screenwriterwannabe belongs to a kickassy dame who, for a while, graced us with her presence at zu. Erica Simpson (Dance Commander) wrote an amazing script called SOLD and wanted to blog about it. It was going to be a novella but nobody wants to read a blog about a novella. That’s just pointless, yo. So, being totally down with the plight of women sold into marriages for slavery (what? I’ve reformed!), I volunteered my services to help her custom design the site, and man is her blog what can only be described as friggin’ S-P-L-A-S-H-Y. Live count down timers (well, okay, there’s just the one but I sometimes get carried away with pluralization), a flash video header and a simplistic, modern style. A tasty treat for the culturally literate masses! Enjoy!
